Black Township Fire and Rescue station 1 is home to the only multi-level  enclosed fire training facility in Posey County. Firefighters from around the tri-state area come to participate in multiple scenarios within the one building.

Scenarios Include:

• Multi-level structural firefighting.

• Search and Rescue

• Ventilation

• Salvage and Overhaul

• Self Rescue and Rapid Intervention

• Confined Space Rescue

• Technical Rope Rescue

• Vehicle Fires

• and so much more.....

Area fire departments may choose to use the facility any time they wish. Departments will need to contact Black Township Fire and Rescue at 812-838-4355

to schedule a time and date for use of the facility.

Black Township Fire and Rescue also strides to host state certified classes for area firefighters.
